English with Ease

  A Role play activity was conducted in the class where the students enacted Unit 2 already done in the class with their own interpretations. It was interesting to see how each group had their own interpretation and ending to the play. This inculcated skills like importance of group values, dialogue delivery, thinking out of the box. 

  Yoga postures were done in the class by the students in the presence of class teachers. Students were made to do various sitting postures on chairs to help their body relax, refresh, stretch and calm their minds to have a fresh  start ahead. 

  Icebreaker activity was conducted in the classroom where students were made to stand in a circle and one by one had to come in centre and share any interesting place they had visited, any activity they had learnt or any different experience they felt worth sharing with their classmates and teachers. This gave all of them a achance to reconnect after a long refreshing break!

 An audio was played in the class twice where students were made to listen to an extract. Then, on the basis of the same discussion and writing was carried  out in the class.

Students of Class 8 enacted a scene from the novel “The Darkparis” and gave their own imaginative interpretations to it. The activity was conducted for a better understanding of the play and let the learners explore the world of reading and imagination as they step into the shoes of the characters themselves.
